My Story (And Maybe Yours, Too)

Building a daily movement practice changed my life. Not overnight, but over time, it gave me the clarity, confidence, and strength I didn’t know I was missing. That transformation led me to change careers, study the body, and become a certified personal trainer.

Now, I help others build sustainable, life-enhancing relationships with movement — especially those who want to feel more at home in their bodies.

Q: I’m new to working out. Is personal training right for me?
Absolutely. In fact, beginners often see the most dramatic changes — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I’ll help you build a strong foundation, safely and at your own pace.

Q: What kind of clients do you usually work with?
I work with a wide range of people, including busy professionals, beginners, seniors, and women returning to fitness after injury, as well as folks who want a more intentional, holistic approach to movement. I also offer training to jiu-jitsu athletes who want to improve their strength and conditioning.

Q: Do you offer virtual or remote coaching?
Yes! Online coaching is a great option if you’re self-motivated but want expert guidance, support, and structure. We’ll check in weekly and adapt your plan as you grow.

Q: Will I need a gym membership or equipment?
Not necessarily. I can build programs for home workouts, gym sessions, or a mix of both. We’ll use what you have, and I’ll recommend simple tools if needed. If you’re local, I have access to private gyms like the one pictured below in Richmond, New Westminster, and Langley.

Q: Do you provide nutrition coaching?
I offer guidance around mindful, sustainable eating habits, especially if your goals include fat loss, muscle gain, or energy improvement. No diets or fads — just education and support.

Q: What makes your approach different?
I combine evidence-based fitness training with trauma-informed, body-aware coaching. My goal isn’t just to help you “look better,” but to help you feel more alive, resilient, and rooted in your body.

Q: What do you specialize in?
As an ACE-certified personal trainer, I specialize in strength-building through resistance training and love introducing clients to the squat rack for the first time (once it’s safe and we’ve built up your capacity, of course). I’ve completed several additional courses including the ACE group fitness instructor course, kettlebell fundamentals, and yoga for beginners, among others. I also offer sport-specific conditioning programming for athletes. As a competitive jiu jitsu pracitioner, I love working with other martial artists and creating conditioning programs to help build capacity on and off the mats.
