I am a personal trainer, psychedelic integration coach, author, and podcast host interested in health, drugs, and altered states, and inspired by martial arts, movement, and music (among many, many other things). To put the things I’ve learned as a writer to more practical use, I’ve undergone training to become a psychedelic integration coach and offer one-on-one integration sessions for people seeking personalized support on their psychedelic journeys. In addition, I am also an ACE-certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor deeply invested in helping my clients cultivate a love for moving their bodies.
I host the podcast Ibogaine Uncovered and have written two books about cannabis and psychedelic drugs. I also write a Substack called A to Z of Altered States. My first book, The Little Book of Cannabis: How Marijuana Can Improve Your Life, was published by Greystone Books in 2018 on the same day cannabis was legalized in Canada. In 2019, the Canadian bestseller was named the #1-selling non-fiction cannabis book in the country.
In my second book, Psyched: 7 Cutting-Edge Psychedelics Changing The World (2022), I break down the history, science, and cultural and medical uses of seven different psychedelic drugs and plant medicines, contextualized with case studies and interviews with scientists, doctors, therapists, advocates, ethnobotanists and practitioners.
My byline has appeared in The New York Times, Forbes, Lucid News, Healing Maps, Daily Om, Vice, Leafly, The Dales Report, Calgary Herald, and The Georgia Straight (where I received national and regional awards for my work), among others. In 2022, I received a Cosmic Sister Emerging Voices Award and was awarded Reporter of the Year at the second annual Microdose Awards. More recently I was awarded Psychedelic Journalist of the Year at the 2023 Cannadelic Awards.
I am available for personal training, group fitness classes, and one-on-one psychedelic coaching. Check out my online shop for personalized copies of my books and other resources.
